From Life, Memory and Imagination...

From life, memory and imagination I cherish and capture Cornish life. From the feeling of sand in my toes, the fresh air which is slightly too fresh, the sound of the crashing waves, enormous colourful sunsets, sandy chips, sunburnt evenings, breakfast paddles and a coastline which is just breath-taking. Utter satisfaction!

When I paint nothing is completely observed and nothing is completely imagined; between the two I aim to get the sense and the detail. I look to introduce art into everyday lives by creating a story out of a moment. Whether it’s a painting, a locally printed greeting card of one of my artworks, a hand painted customised surfer bauble or a beachscape vintage milk churn, I want you to be able to bring the seaside into your home,  I want you to surround yourself with things that make you smile!

 Artist Bio

Self-taught and hailing from the Midlands, after over a decade working in the media industry in London I moved to Newquay in 2017. Working part-time as an artist I have work on display in Cornish galleries and shops, as well as online. On the committee for over five years on the Newquay Society of Artists I manage publicity, through the website and social media for the society. I have also contributed to Cornish charitable projects with another in the pipeline for next year.
