I love a private viewing - and the Breagside Net Loft Gallery, Porthleven Harbour, was no exception. With over 80 artworks on display as part of The Porthleven Harbour Art Prize 2023, all relating to a common theme ‘Porthleven and its environment’.
I really enjoyed submitting two artworks for the competition ‘Our Treasured Vista’ and ‘First Light’ - both views looking over Porthleven and the surrounding area. 'Our Treasured Vista' was 'Commended', chuffed! 🎉
A big thank you to @porthlevenarts for arranging the competition - I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to any artist who was thinking about taking part next year.
The free exhibition opens Sunday 21st May and runs through to Monday 29th May. There is still a ‘People's Vote’ prize up for grabs for the most popular work voted by visitors to the exhibition.
