British art by contemporary artist Diane Griffiths. "Early One Morning" was initially inspired by a competition theme of the same name. I was inspired to paint a view over Kent fields taken from a once-in-a-lifetime balloon ride. It was a perfect morning and the landscape was bathed in beautiful early morning light. This is one of the photos which inspired the painting.

I submitted the original painting into the competition and was the overall winner of the Lichfield Festival of Folk National Art Competition. My painting was on exhibition in the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum October 2021.
