Did you know you could get a train to the top of Snowdon?! I didn’t, until my dad suggested the idea. As a result in July 2011 we popped over the border to Wales and took the Snowdon Mountain Railway up to the top. Amazing!

We were very lucky to have a beautiful clear day and the views from the top are very difficult to put into words. We felt a little guilty when a couple made it to the top who had clearly walked and were exhausted (but they were very happy), and we had yet to break a sweat!

Established in 1896 by Sir Richard Moon, Chairman of the London & North Western Railway*. The proposal for a railway wasn’t popular with everyone who thought that it would spoil the scenery, but I for one am very grateful that this spectacular feat of engineering was built and still exists for us to enjoy today.

An affordable way to own your own slice of art from Artist Diane Griffiths. Bring the outdoors in and brighten up your space with this art print. Printed on thick photo paper which provides both a gloss and matte finish, giving you a highly saturated look as well as maximum ink coverage. Estimated delivery is 4-8 days using a trusted supplier and delivered directly to you.

This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!

‘Snowdonia’captures one of the fastanic views we had from the top of the mountain. The varied colours in the painting, while creatively applied, are real - the view really did have an abundance of colour ranging from distant purples, the deep blues of the sky and tarns, through to the green vegetation and the many colours of the mountain rock itself.

I love the path winding its way down one of the peaks which gives the scene a dynamic way into the painting, then you can follow the peaks back through the painting and then down to the tarn; reflecting the sky in a spectacular burst of colour. You really are on the top of the world from this vantage point. Painted on a 50x50cm canvas in acrylic, oil and enamel - this painting is available framed or unframed, ready to hang with painted sides.
