The modern architecture and colourful lights of County Hall on South Bank stretch across the canvas; the rainbow of colours mirrored in the river Thames and the glass of Westminster Pier in the foreground. The London Eye glows as the final passengers of the day go for a ‘spin’ on the great wheel. Quiet footsteps echo along the pier as the occasional passenger arrives for an evening trip on the Thames Clippers. The night feels calm and timeless; the stars twinkle serenely above and the viewer can pause for an uninterrupted moment and enjoy the visual plethora of shapes, textures and colours of London.
