As we approach Newquay Bus Station at night, the headlights cut through the evening haze, a promise of movement towards home. Although it’s getting late there are still quite a few buses about, ready for their last journey of the day. In this painting we capture that universal moment of an unnecessary last minute dash to capture the bus. Really, there's no need to rush; the bus waits patiently and isn’t due to leave yet. The mind might know this, but adrenaline kicks in, and this painting captures that pause before you instinctively sprint to ensure you don’t miss the bus.
